What is Acronis Backup 12.5?

You use Cloud deployment rather than on-premises Management Server.

When you try to apply a backup plan to the machine, you get an error: The following quota reached for <your account>: Number of <type of machine>

You are trying to perform recovery with Acronis bootable media. The source is iSCSI target.

You are able to connect to the iSCSI host, but unable to see anything inside and receive the following error:

iscsiadm: no records found

You have removed several backup archives or have backed up a significant amount of data to the Cloud, but the Storage Usage still displays old values.

What is Acronis account and how to create one

Acronis account is your tool to view and manage your Acronis products, upgrades and updates, support programs and support requests. This is the place where you can keep and retrieve serial numbers, download installation files and bootable rescue media, review release notes and product documentation, receive technical help, and get access to special offers from Acronis as well as notifications about new product releases.

Acronis renewals must be registered to complete the maintenance renewal transaction. You can update your support program information by clicking Register Renewal near the outdated support program information and submitting your Order/Invoice/License certificate number and billing e-mail.

Scenario

You have been using Acronis Cyber Infrastructure and registered the storage in Acronis Cyber Cloud.

Later, something happened to the storage cluster: it became unavailable and could not be restored or brought back online, so you deployed a new Cyber Infrastructure.

You recover a machine backup created by Agent for Windows/Linux or Agent for VMware/Hyper-V into different existing virtual machine. Recovery fails with:

What is Acronis Files Advanced?

Symptoms

Agent version is 9940 or newer is installed. Backup fails with an error message inapplicable to Acronis Backup Cloud:"One or more machines are not assigned a license" or "Functionality 'XX' is not available. Please use the appropriate license."

Restoring to dissimilar hardware is not available on Mac (neither for OS X, nor for the Bootcamp partition).

Acronis Universal Restore is a free tool available for Acronis customers, which allows you to make the old system bootable on new hardware. This may be useful, for example, after replacing a failed motherboard or when deciding to migrate the system from one computer to another.
